Make your next signature easier to prepare for.
Understand the appointment process, bring the right questions, and confirm availability before booking.
Help with important signatures.
When a document calls for notarization, I can help you understand the appointment process and what to bring. Ask about availability and the type of notarization you need before booking.
Before your appointment
Have the document ready and bring acceptable identification. The signer must appear as required for the notarial act. A notary verifies identity and performs the notarial act; a notary does not decide whether the document meets your legal needs.
Service location, fees, and any online notarization options will be confirmed directly before an appointment.
Prepare before we meet.
- Describe the request. Tell me the document type, your location, and when you need it. Confirm the receiving organization’s requirements.
- Have identification ready. Ask which current identification is acceptable for your appointment. Do not upload identification to the general inquiry form.
- Check the signature instructions. For an oath or affirmation with a jurat, signing must take place before the notary. Ask before signing in advance.
- Confirm the details. We will discuss the notarial act, appointment format, eligibility, and fees before proceeding.
Common questions.
What does a notary do?
A notary verifies identity and performs the requested notarial act, such as taking an acknowledgment or administering an oath. Notarization does not establish that a document is accurate or legally effective.
Can you choose or prepare my legal document?
I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in Texas and may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice. Ask the receiving organization or an attorney which document or certificate is appropriate.
Can the appointment be online?
Ask about current availability before booking. Texas online notarization requires an authorized online notary and compliant audio-video technology. The notary must be physically in Texas while performing the act; an ordinary video call is not sufficient. Availability depends on commission, location, document, and recipient requirements.
How much will it cost?
Ask for an itemized quote before confirming. Fees and any other agreed services will be explained for your request.
